Reiki Treatment
A Reiki treatment helps the body's natural ability to heal itself. If you are tired, you'll feel refreshed. If you are anxious, you'll feel serene. If you are distressed, you'll feel comforted. Where you feel overwhelmed, you'll find a renewed sense of yourself. If you have pain, you will find relief. And these subjective changes will be accompanied by physical changes indicative of deep relaxation, such as a slower heart rate and easier breathing.
Most people notice a difference after the first treatment, and the benefits of Reiki grow with each repeated session. In an emergency, the patient often shows benefits within five to ten miinutes.
A Reiki treatment lasts about one hour and is usually conducted on a treatment table. Because Reiki can be so relaxing, falling asleep on the table is very common. The client remains fully clothed, although shoes are normally removed. When the session is over you most likely will feel refreshed, de-stressed with less pain and at peace. Many people that received Reiki have stated that they felt warmth or a little tingling during the treatment - a Reiki treatment is a wonderful and personal experience. Each person tends to enjoy different benefits from their treatment (see Testimonials).
Reiki treatment is safe: there is nothing about a Reiki treatment that can interfere with any medical care you are receiving. Reiki has become more "mainstream" and is being offered in many hospitals and medical practices in the United States and around the world.
